Interlocking Floor Tiles
These popular coin top Interlocking Floor tiles are designed to interlock with a 4 loop-to-peg system. The tiles interlock together easily by snapping the pegs on one tile into the loops on another tile. An average 400 sq. ft. installation can be completed in as little as 2 hours. These tiles will not come apart when a car parks on top of them because they are made for that specific purpose. These popular U.S.A.-made coin top tiles have a high rollover capacity to withstand the weight of heavy vehicles and equipment. They have a non-slip coin surface pattern. The tiles can be used in conjunction with other colors of ModuTile coin top interlocking tiles to create attractive patterns and designs.
Interlocking Flooring: Uses
The most common use for interlocking floor tiles is for the garage. They are often called interlocking garage floor tiles. However, not all interlocking tiles are suitable for vehicles to park or drive on top of them. ModuTile’s coin top is made from a high-impact polymer material specifically designed for the garage. They have grooves underneath to allow air and water passage. They are also lightweight and portable.
The second most common use of interlocking floor tiles is for basement flooring. This is because they are great for DIY (do-it-yourself) installers. The grooves underneath combined with the locking system make them ideal for wet basements. The material is inorganic to prevent mold growth. Their design allows vapor to escape into the room rather than being trapped under the tiles. This also prevents mold. Of course, if your basement is too humid, make sure you have a dehumidifier. If water is creeping into the basement, make sure you fix it prior to installing these tiles.
Many customers also use these tiles for home workshops, patio covers (perforated versions), commercial displays, tradeshow flooring and much more.
Interlocking Floor Tile: Design
The ModuTile Coin Top interlocking floor tiles are made out of a solid piece of high-impact polypropylene. When you need high-rollover capacity, this type is best. However, we do offer other versions that have a laminate top. The laminate interlocking floor tiles are often more expensive, but will add a designer look to a basement floor or tradeshow floor.
